Omron HR 100 C is a very basic and affordable wrist heart rate monitor. Both the chest transmitter belt and the watch is made in black plastic but is rather comfortable to wear. This heart rate monitor doesn’t have a lot of fancy feature but it does what it is designed for and at a very reasonable price. It is ideal for the beginner – medium athlete or runner that needs to monitor the highs and lows og their heart rate when exercising. |

"The monitor comes packaged in a small, zippered carrying case, and includes an attachment that allows you to place it on a bicycle handlebar. This does everything I need it to, and I recommend it for anyone who is just getting started in an exercise program."
"I use this while swimming. When swimming the chest strap has to be tightened a little extra, but it works. I also use it for circuit training because first I use the eliptical, then the weight machines. I do not rest between machines to keep heart rate in the proper zone during the entire workout, perfect."

Our Verdict: Our research into the Omron HR 100 suggests: The product is nothing more than it claims to be. A simple heart rate monitor that will tell you what your heart rate is as well as tell the time like a normal watch. Because it is very basic it is also easy to use and doesn't (necessarily) require that you read the instructions manual to get started. It is a great beginners heart rate monitor and on top of that you're also able to change the batteries yourself (which is not possible with many professional heart rate monitors).
